Sanctuary on Sea supports City of Sanctuary’s strong statement on the outbreak of war in Europe. We endorse today’s letter in the Times, signed by 50 charity leaders, calling on the UK to lead international efforts to respond to any sudden increase in the number of people who may be forced to flee the country and urging the government to rethink the Nationality and Borders Bill which undermines our obligation to give all who seek asylum a fair hearing on our soil.
